In 2017, Operation Salute launched the "Poppy Signing" Campaign, where nearly 150 students and community members from 3 public schools and 2 cadet squadrons in the area signed a poppy with a personal message. These poppies were then collected and pinned onto a huge display board dedicated to the Port Credit Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #82.

Everyone at the Legion was extremely impressed and grateful for this small act of appreciation from the young generation.
